Olympic First Aid Courses

Our goal at Olympic First Aid is to provide students with the basic skills and knowledge to deal with immediate and life-threatening emergencies. Olympic First Aid offers the following courses to emergency response teams, safety personnel, supervisors and persons interested in first aid certification:

Automatic External Defibrillator

The AED endorsement is a 8 hour course designed to give the learner the skills to operate an Automatic External Defibrillator. Ideal for Life guards, First Responders, Paramedics, and Ski Patrol.

Emergency Medical Responder

The EMR course has received WCB recognition as meeting OFA 3 in BC and in Alberta the Advanced first aid. The EMR Program in addition to OFA 3 integrates the latest medical assessments including advanced protocols such as blood pressure, pharmacology, tube maintenance, nasal airways and chest oscilltation.The Course also includes the more advanced techniques and equipment for immobilizing, including traction splints, keds, speed straps and sager splints.

Wilderness First Aid

Basic First Aid skills and Emergency response tailored for the outdoor/ wilderness setting. This course provides the learner with the skills and abilities to treat life threatning emergencies, illnesses in a remote setting. This 40 hour course is perfect for those students working in wilderness settings such as outward bound, or daycamps for youth and children.
